80 mile beach

Low low tide at 80 Mile Beach

80 Mile Beach

A ghost crab at night on the beach.

Same fish - at the scales it weighed in at just over 8kgs.

80 Mile beach

My giant threadfin salmon -the challenge is on.

Going through the falls , I'm not scared, with my eyes closed!

Lunch on the boat, fresh barra and salad, it was delicous.

Then we were off to go through the falls.

Horizontal Falls

The view coming into land - on the water at the falls. We flew from Broome up Cape Leveque across to Talbot Bay

Broome

You can't go to Broome and not take a few photos of the camel rides at sunset.

Broome

Going out to tea in Broome with friends.

Broome

The Sun Princess pulls away silently from the wharf and slowly disappears into the night. Oh those lucky people!

Broome

Cable Beach - Back here in Broome still can't resist another sunset photo.

Camping on the Fitzroy River

Carmel cooking up a storm on the Fitzroy River near Willare Bridge Roadhouse.

Geikie Gorge

A crocodile sunning himself.

Fitzroy Crossing

Geikie Gorge - the reflections of the rocks in the water was amazing. The water was perfectly still. It was about 39 degrees every day while we were there.

Fitzroy Crossing

Stick insect or praying mantis I'm not sure but he was cute, large but cute.

A big brahman bull grazing near our caravan at Spring Creek.

Spring Creek Free Camp

A beautiful spot to stay overnight and then head into the Bungle Bungles and then to recover for another night before heading off southward.

Bungle Bungles

The Bungle Bungles from the road in, it takes 2.5 hours to drive to the visitors centre and then Cathedral Gorge is another 45 minutes away, it was about 39 degrees by lunchtime, hence the early start.
It may have been narrow but we both could just fit! right at the end.

Bungle Bungles

Echidna Gorge was very narrrow but high, to get there we had to walk through quite a small low chasm.

Just beautiful, inside this big chasm. I would loved to have been in here on my own, it was so special.

Bungle Bungles

Catheral Gorge was just magical, a man with a baritone voice sang while we were in here and it was fabulous, everyone clapped and encouraged him to keep singing, it was a magical moment.

Bungle Bungles

A lone dingo on the road into the Bungle Bungles very early in the morning, we set out from Spring Creek Camp Ground at 6.15am!
