This little plane is a Jabiru - there were quite a few and they flew together and did a demo, they were great to watch, kind of cute.

This plane was to take someone on a joy flight but it seem to back fire and there were flames coming out near the engine - needless to say it stayed grounded!

Great photography skills

Wide Bay Airshow - Bundaberg

Trev's out having the car serviced - so sorry I don't know what plane is what! Yeh its an army plane

Wide Bay Airshow at Bundaberg

We caught up again with Trev's cousins son Jason - a pilot in the RAAF from Tamworth. Jason had flown up for the show with three other airforce mates and we were lucky enough to spot him. We had met up with him back in January when we were in Tamworth for the music festival.

Some of these craters were quite deep, they are surrounded by volcanic rock, which has splashes of red in parts - not shown in these photos.

Mystery craters

The formation of these craters remain a mystery, scienctists from all over the world are unable to explain how these craters came about. Some hold water others are lined with dirt, they are spread over about half an acre. They are west from Bundaberg heading out towards Gin Gin.

Another view from the lookout looking west to WA!

Capsicums growing in the red volcanic soil and a view from the lookout, a cane burning fire in the distance?

Bundaberg

The Bundy girls weren't quite as nice as Trev's Jim Bean girls at Tamworth, well their pants weren't quite as short either.

There he is, the taste testings were yum, we managed to buy a few bottles, especially liked their liqueur - a chocolate coffee rum mixture.

Bundaberg

Need I say more! except where is Trevor?

Cotton Tree

Taken from near the van looking across the river from Cotton Tree to Picnic Point

Trev caught this sand crab on his fishing line just near the caravan, I soon had it boiling in the pot, and it was delicious.

Cotton Tree

At Cotton Tree park our neighbours had this little heater, stove come fire made from an old gas cylinder, with chimney and spark arrester, which folds down into the body and the legs unscrew it was just the best thing, but we didn't buy one but wished we had for those cold nights.
