We went out one night with Trev's cousins, their wives etc, it was great to meet them, as Aunty Del talks about them, now I know who she means.

The Ken Duncan gallery - wow his photographs are very special, the most beautiful we thought were of the Kimberley's.

We met up with one of Trev's cousins and her husband and after we lunched at the Casino Plaza, Phil and Jenny took us on a tour of Terrigal. The weather wasn't the best hence the long sleeves and jeans!

This ship is called the 'Big Lift' and was bringing in huge machinery, something to do with the coal loading facility at Newcastle

You can see part of Newcastle in the background and one the 'newer' guns in the foreground

Another cannon - the tour took us down the tunnels and was very interesting.

This opening was were the cannon was rolled out to be fired

One of the cannons used at Fort Scratchly

Newcastle

Fort Scratchly- looks out over the entrance of the river into Newcastle. The cannons of this fort fired on a Japanese Sub during the second world war

The communtiy spirit is alive and well - Trev towing out some boaties who's car got bogged trying to retrive their boat.

Just a little holiday in Port Stephens on the yacht

The nudie beach - even Trev's lens couldn't catch them!

More gorgeous bays.

So very beautiful.

Port Stephens was absolutley beautiful, this was taken from Tomaree Headland. Up on this hill is the relics from gun implacements etc from WWII. It was very steep climb but really worth every bit of effort.

We moved on from Tamworth to a little overnight spot and Gav (from WA) who was one of our neighbours at Tamworth came and stayed and we went yabbying. Wallabadah was a great spot to camp we only caught a few yabbies but with a bit of cheese and wrapped in bacon and fried they were few but yummy.

Trev and his girls!

Our lovely neighbours on the other side, Ben and Christine from Sydney

We met up with Trev's cousins son Jason, who is a pilot in the RAAF and in Tamworth training all the new pilots

Trev with the gorgeous girls who where our neighbours for the 10 days. They are from Richmond near Sydney

And of course the Golden Guitar

A view of Tamworth from the lookout. You can see our caravan if you zoom in on the sports oval! (and know where to look)

The bundy girls in the parade

The Sunny Cowgirls from WA

Going for the record in line dancing, Trev had to record the moment

Just having a chat to Dermy, I was asking him if they needed a young female presenter (I couldn't miss the chance Bec) for Getaway

The bullrides are great to watch but then so are the clowns
The Equine centre was a fabulous venue and of course the Rodeo Championships were well worth watching

The main street was closed to all traffic for the festival and was full of people and buskers day and night. We had a terrific time and met loads of new people - including the Jim Beam Girls!

Here we are practising the Bootscooting Boogee for the record attempt on Saturday morning down town with our neighbours, Christine teaching me and the young girls from Sydney.

Tamworth - what a week

Moree's fabric shop, what a pity it was a Sunday!

Moree was town with lovely old buildings, we tried to catch up with one of Trev's cousins but they weren't home, never mind maybe on the way back later in the year.

Seed silos in the background as we leave the property to head south

"One at a time please" Inside the huge shearing shed

A beautiful old homestead from the days when Australia road on the sheep's back - wool was selling for a pound a pound and these farmers ran thousands of sheep. this homestead is being done up and is just gorgeous inside.

Here we are way out west and boy was it hot!

This river runs through the farm where Trev was working, it is barraged up as you can see by the higher water level. The bird life was incredible.

Trev went to work with Bruce for the week - grain cleaning out west, and near St George

Hi from Millmerran - to Gerry and Rose in WA

Hi to Kate and Paul

Blackbutt School - my niece's partner Paul taught here last year

Blackbutt - the is not a lot there but delicous woodfired bread

It was goodbye to the zoo and goodbye to my sister Jan and her family as we head of west.

We all got wet of course!

The tigers enjoyed the shower of rain - it always rains in Queensland - well when we are there anyway!

The show is not quite the same without Steve

What would the show be without the elephants?
